We are excited to announce a significant update to the Imaging Transfer Requesting feature (formerly known as Data Requests) on Aurabox. This update enhances both the requester and provider experience, adding new capabilities for fulfilling imaging requests and introducing backend improvements. For providers, the update brings an intuitive request fulfilment process that offers more control, flexibility, and transparency, making it easier than ever to manage and respond to requests. Additionally, we’ve added robust options for requesters to better tailor their imaging requests.
What’s New?
Here’s a quick overview of the new features and improvements:
1. Fulfilment Wizard for Providers
Providers now have access to a completely redesigned wizard that simplifies the process of reviewing, approving, and fulfilling imaging requests.
We’ve focussed heavily on ensuring that the request contains everything an imaging provider needs to make an informed decision about whether to fulfil a request or not, including making it very clear where Aurabox has already validated identity and consent.
Key improvements include:
- Detailed Patient Information: Providers can now see essential information about the patient, including consent details and identity validation status, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Multiple Fulfilment Options: Providers can choose how to fulfil requests, with options like uploading or sending a link. Direct DICOM forwarding is coming very soon (and is currently entering Private Beta, so get in touch if you are interested in that)
- Request All Studies: We’re introducing the ability to request multiple studies, starting with the option to "Request all studies" from the patient’s imaging history.
- More Requester Information: Providers can access detailed information about the requester, including verification status, identifiers, and contact details.
- Reason for Request: Providers can now see why the request is being made, ensuring they understand the context and urgency behind it.
- New "Send a Link" Fulfilment Option: Providers can fulfil requests by generating a secure link, making it easier for the requester to access the required imaging data.
2. Enhanced Requesting Options for Requesters
We’ve also improved the way requesters can specify their needs when making an imaging request. New options include:
- Specify Reason for Request: Requesters can now clearly state the purpose of their request, ensuring providers understand the need behind it.
- Consent Management: Requesters can add details about existing consents, helping providers comply with regulatory requirements.
- Requester Contact Details: It’s now easier for providers to get in touch with requesters by including specific contact details.
- Mark as Urgent & Specify Required By Date: Requesters can flag urgent requests and specify a required-by date, helping providers prioritise time-sensitive transfers.
- Request Specific Items: Requesters can ask for specific reports, all imaging studies, or an individual study based on their needs (the ability to request several studies at once is coming shortly).
